In summary, vaccination and mask wearing is strongly recommended, but not required. The Texas Weather Conference will adhere to Texas Tech guidelines, and in addition:

1. Have masks and hand sanitizer available

2. Maintain reasonable social distancing (e.g., use the entirety of the room space, avoid crowding)

By registering for and attending 2022 Texas Weather Conference in Lubbock, Texas, I agree to abide by all health and safety guidelines and recommendations established by federal, state, and local government agencies and officials, the Texas Weather Conference and the event venues, including but not limited to, Texas Tech International Cultural Center and the Hyatt Place Lubbock. This includes, but is not limited to, adhering to any requirements and restrictions during the event established by the Texas Weather Conference, the Texas Tech and hotel venue. These requirements and restrictions may consist of completing a health survey/screening, vaccination requirements, masking requirements, engaging in appropriate physical distancing, and other possible activities.

I further agree that I will not attend the Texas Weather Conference in person if I become ill during the meeting, or am exposed to the COVID-19 virus within 7 days prior to the event or exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus prior to the event. Additionally, I understand that travel to and participation in events may increase the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE AGAINST the Texas Weather Conference AND ITS AFFILIATED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS, INCLUDING IN EACH CASE, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, ORGANIZERS, AND AGENTS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”), EITHER IN LAW OR IN EQUITY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES OR LOSSES CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE, FAULT OR CONDUCT OF ANY KIND ON THE PART OF THE RELEASED PARTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DEATH, BODILY INJURY, ILLNESS, ECONOMIC LOSS OR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, OR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, WHICH I, MY HEIRS, ASSIGNEES, NEXT OF KIN AND/OR LEGALLY APPOINTED OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES, MAY HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREINAFTER ACCRUE ON MY BEHALF, WHICH ARISE OR MAY HEREAFTER ARISE FROM MY PARTICIPATION WITH THE 2022 Texas Weather Conference.
